Edit a Campaign Budget
Campaign budgets help you control your advertising costs. In CMax, you can decide to either set a total budget for your campaign or leave your campaign uncapped. You can edit your budget at any time, effective immediately.
On the Campaigns page, click the name of the campaign you want to edit.
Click Campaign Settings.
Click the Edit icon in the Campaign Budget column.
If switching from uncapped to capped, you must account for the campaign's historical spend. Select Capped, then enter the entire amount the campaign has already spent, plus your desired spend amount for the remainder of the campaign timing. Once your campaign reaches the set budget amount, it will stop delivering ads.
If switching from capped to uncapped, select Uncapped to spend freely from the available funds of the balance linked to the campaign.
If editing your capped campaign budget, choose Increase By or Decrease By and enter the amount to add to or remove from your 's remaining budget. You can mark the New Remaining Budget checkbox to make sure the budget corresponds to the amount you want your campaign to spend.Click Save.
Campaign Pacing
You can set pacing at the campaign level. You have the option to set a monthly or daily cap. If you set a cap at the campaign level, the campaign will stop spending once the line items under that campaign reach the amount specified in the cap.
Monthly Cap:
Your campaign will spend until the amount set at this level has been reached by all line items for the entirety of the month.
Daily Cap:
Your campaign will spend until the amount set at this level has been reached for all line items in one day.
Automatic Daily Budget is available at the campaign daily budget level, exactly like the line item level:
This tool divides the budget evenly across all days in the campaign, and will automatically take any underspend and divide it evenly across the remaining days of the campaign.
To enable this option, 3 fields will be required:
Campaign Start Date
Campaign End Date
Campaign Total Budget
You can also add a memo for reference if you want to keep track of your edits. This memo will be available with all edit details in the Budget History, under Campaign Budget in the Campaign Settings page.
