Select a Page Type

In step 3, you will select the page type your ads will serve on. One page type can be selected per line item. 

The page types listed are reflective of what is available for targeting based on the retailer selected in the first step of your line item creation.

You may be able to select Homepage, Search, Category, Order Confirmation Page, etc., depending on the Retailer you’ve selected.

For Search, you can enter the keywords on which you want your line item to serve. For Category pages, you can select the categories on which you want your line item to serve.

Select a Search Page

To serve on the Search page, enter at least one search term (keyword) you want to serve on in the Keywords text box. Words or short phrases are both acceptable search terms.

You can also include relevant suggestions from Recommended Keywords on the right by clicking the keyword or the Add button. Use the Add All button to add all recommendations to your line item. This helps you quickly and accurately improve keyword coverage. Recommended Keywords are automatically validated by the retailer and do not require any additional review.

The keyword model uses natural language processing to identify the roots of your keywords and serves ads on any search query that contains those roots.

Ads will serve regardless of the punctuation, capitalization, and spacing a shopper uses. In the following examples, your ads would run on either keyword.

  • cases and case

  • mac & cheese and mac cheese

  • company, inc. and company inc

  • follow-up and followup

  • Cake and cake

  • whitening      toothpaste and whitening toothpaste

  • Chocolate and Chocolaté

Ads will be served on all word combinations of a keyword. If you enter 'computer keyboard' as a keyword, your ads will run when a shopper searches for 'computer keyboard' or 'keyboard computer'.

Enter one keyword or one phrase per row. Spaces within a phrase are acceptable (Example: remote control or red shoe).

Select a Category

Select the category page(s) you want your Line Item to serve on. One category must be selected at minimum for a line item to serve.

By selecting a category, any child pages within that category are automatically selected by default.

Please review the child pages within the selected category to ensure accuracy.

Remember that submitted categories should be relevant to the products you have targeted in the Line Item and that you are strongly advised against adding irrelevant categories. The Retailer may refuse your submission and ask you to adjust accordingly.

Selecting categories:

A +Categories button opens a right-side panel containing the taxonomy tree which will allows you to:

  • Enter the name of the category in the search bar and click the Search button. Any category that matches the query will be returned in the Search Results table.

  • To select a category, click the check box button on the left of the category name.

  • To select all categories that match the query, click on the check box next to each relevant Parent Category.

Removing Categories: 

  • Clicking the Remove Categories button will remove the selected taxonomies along with their child taxonomies.

  • Deselect taxonomies you want to remove by unchecking the checkbox next to each category.

Reviewing the selected categories:

  • Review the category page(s) your Line Item will serve on in the Selected Categories table.

  • To exclude the child pages of a selected category, clear the checkbox next to the category under the Include Child column.

  • To deselect a category, click the trash can icon on the right side of the category in the Selected Categories table.

  • To deselect all selected categories, click the Remove All button on the top right corner of the Selected Categories table.
